I have the basic layout for the starting desert city. I have yet to figure out a good name. Its circular in design, so I was thinking a name like "Sunra".
Sun-: for obvious reasons.
-Ra: The egyptian sun god.
I'm open to suggestions though. Heres a couple of shots.

Hmm are you keen on using arabic/egyptian names?
'Al-Rashan' is quite a famous name in terms of fantasy and medieval settings. (And it luckily keeps Ra) |
