So is this Rhydin's end? A shame I think. Has everyone faded out?Lost dedication? It seems everything I get involved in, crumbles, and all that's left are remnants. Any guests seeing this, it may sound dispairing but it's true. Ah, don't worry, I'll survive. A shame though... _________________ 'By Tyr's right buttock' -Khelgar Ironfist |

Why would this be Rhydin's end? The project is not dead unless Sorceress says so, and it would be her right only to declare it.
There have been times like these before, mostly because there's only one dedicated person working on this huge undertaking. And when you work on something for years with very few help from others, there are times when you simply don't feel like reporting your progress (or the fact that you're taking a well earned time-out) to others.
It's just not fair to declare a project dead that someone else has put so much effort into _________________ Stay back! I've got a lute and will not hesitate to USE it! |

Thank you Nathrai, your words ring very true in this instance. However, Zodiac's concerns are valid. I haven't posted any progress reports or screenshots becuase as said above. This is a huge project, and I'm the only one on it. I wish I could update the forums on a regular basis but with the absorbing attention of my projects its just not going to happen. How I would love to have a team to share all this burden, but I can't force people to work with me.
Rhydin will never die, I will -never- let it go. Please know in all of your hearts, that someday Rhydin will exist. Even if I have to build till the end of time. They say; "You only fail, when you've given up trying." Rest assured that I don't even understand the word "failure." _________________ - Sorceress Ashura.

Now I feel guilty... No, reading it back now it seems like I presume too much, that I'm pronouncing another's project dead. I'm terrible for miscommunicating stuff. I apologise. But I still stand by the belief I had when writing this. Though I understand more on why, like you said nathri | Quote: | | there are times when you simply don't feel like reporting progress | I forgot myself, and I should learn to control what I say more. I won't let this happen again. (every time I read my post above I cringe! Eeeeeeenggggg. :cringe:) _________________ 'By Tyr's right buttock' -Khelgar Ironfist |

Think nothing of it, Zodiac. Iskatu and I had a similar discussion on this same issue. Like him, you share his same concerns and I value those thoughts. It's questions like that that need to be brought up so others can understand whats going on when a project like this has slowed to a snails pace in terms of progress. It actually makes me smile, to read posts of members concerned about the welfare of my project. It shows that the idea of Rhydin in other's hearts still pumps. =) _________________ - Sorceress Ashura.

I never thought of it that way... Anyway, thanks. I'm still looking forward to Rhydin. I think the problem with the internet is that a coversation of 5 minutes lasts weeks. By the way, I still use your special effects way much more than the in game ones for some reason. But glyphs always look cool on teleporters! _________________ 'By Tyr's right buttock' -Khelgar Ironfist |

Your persistence and dedication are admirable. All of my projects are long dead. I'm about to give up on gaming/computers as a whole, and just let Schizophrenia run its course.
Good luck on reaching your goals.
