I figured it was about time I release some new screen shots. I know many of you are in the dark since my last progress report, but rest assured I'm still working. .. I've been filling the PW now with areas, all the little -inbetween- stuff to make the Rhydin Planes more... larger in scale.

ENJOY!!

You need to turn on shadows for all of the screenshots, not just some, my dear. Wink

Other then that, I like. Simple, but effective. I like the look of the fort/castle especially.

I really don't like using shadows. The problem with the shadows is that you only see the shadows around your character. they disappear in the distance.. so it really looks weird when playing. They never look right to me. The ones you see there, are there becuase I forgot to turn them off before i snapped the shot.

Personally, I quite like NWN2's shadowing (in contrast to other games) - but those screens look great both with and without them! Wink

It's good to see all this progress and to read about the overland map news. My job won't permit me to play for more than two or three hours a week, but guess what game I'll spend those couple of hours on... Cool

To each his/her own I suppose. Its a good thing those features can be adjusted in game by the player. Also, I don't know if its just me,.. but modules seem to be running smoother than what they were last patch. I ran a online test with the PW on my new computer, and the latency was extremely low. Granted I was the only one there, but the ping was 17-30. Transitions were flawless, especially with my customload screens. I just hope the overland map doesn't fudge up when being run with 10-20+ users. Which is what I plan to start with at launch.

Your ping should always be 0 when you're hosting, since you're connected to yourself. For other users, a ping of ~50 is preferable.

I don't know how much bandwidth NWN2 uses though. Should be minimal.

I loaded the PW on the actual server, and logged into it from my (seperate) computer. And the ping was between 17 to 30. I logged on a couple of times and reloaded it just to make sure.
